We are delighted to announce that we will be attending Semicon Europa 2016 (http://semiconeuropa.org) alongside our French partner TELTEC (http://www.teltec.com). We will be on their booth 1018 for the whole event and we would be delighted to discuss current or future requirements with customers during that time. Our service partner 40-30 (http://www.40-30.com/en/) will also be attending (booth 1155), where they will have Nor-Cal information and advice.
We look forward to meeting you.

On January 6, 2015, Jarek Pisera was promoted by the Board of Directors to Chief Executive Officer of Nor-Cal Products, Inc.
Jarek joined Nor-Cal as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing in May 2014 and has been an acting CEO since October 2014.
Mr. Pisera was formerly a Vice President and General Manager of HPS division of MKS Instruments in Boulder, Colorado and a General Manager of the MKS Flow division in Andover, Massachusetts. He holds a masters degree in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
At Nor-Cal, nearly all custom welded fabrications and vacuum chambers receive a final coordinate measuring machine (CMM) inspection to confirm that port lengths, flange centerlines, theoretical targets and other features are within dimensional tolerances.
Until now, any in-process CMM inspections have required that the chamber be removed from the machining centre and taken to our QA department for inspection on one of existing two fixed CMMs before the next manufacturing operation.
Over the last decade we have witnessed more stringent raw materials requirements for semiconductor, compound semiconductor and surface science equipment.
Until recently, we were dependant on either supplier material certifications that sometimes failed to address a particular constituent, or time-consuming laboratory testing.
To address this, our Yreka California based QA department have just purchased a hand-held X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) instrument to perform instantaneous positive material identification within the factory.
In seconds, the XRF displays the metal alloy and grade along with the precise chemical composition of the material.
Nor-Cal Products USA employees based in Yreka California displayed solidarity for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
They supported Yreka Chamber of Commerce’s Paint Yreka Pink event by donning neon pink t-shirts and displaying pink flags throughout the factory in Yreka during October 2014.
A local News photographer captured the moment when 200 employees posed in front of the main building.
Introducing the Intellisys® sealing throttling butterfly valve (STBV).
The main features of the STBV:
- Combines foreline sealing with downstream pressure control.
- Compatible with all new generation Intellisys® controllers (IQ+).
- Enables high pressure control with minimal gas flow.
- Can be used to control chamber evacuations at slow rates.
So, who would use the STBV and why?
The most common reason to use an STBV-type product is if the set-point pressure cannot be achieved with a traditional throttling butterfly valve (TBV).
